DAY 38 - VENDORS EVERYWHERE!

I'm still on a "high" from the Opening Ceremony(I don't ever want to come down!). Today is the first day that I set up in the Sigma Market Place(Vendors Area). Somebody moved my sign and tried to switch my booth #208(Huh? - Didn't they see all of my product underneath the table? Didn't they see my ONE MILLION BOOKS ACROSS AMERICA cards on the table? - It pays to show up early. But I digress.) The rest of my "DREAM TEAM"(Daniel, David and Hilton) made it to New Orleans around 7:30 this morning without any problems(The problems started before they left Houston, but that's a blog for another time - lol). After grabbing some IHOP, we made our way to the Sheraton(Who knew, they only valet'd?) We quickly unloaded more boxes and started the day on a great vibe. Brother Nolley aka Platinum Member #6 was our vendor neighbor and him and his lovely wife, were a pleasure to vend alongside of for the week. There is a German Proverb that says: "A good neighbor doubles the value of your house."

We worked diligently from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm - and although a lot of people came by the booth to tell me how much they enjoyed me at the Opening Ceremony, getting them to buy a Book and CD was still like pulling teeth(But call us Dentist because we were on it!). After a looooonnnnggg day of "dentistry" lol, we grabbed a bite to eat and headed back to our hotel(I'm a starving Artist, so we couldn't afford to stay in the host hotel.) I'm looking forward to speaking at the Future Leaders Luncheon on tomorrow - Give me a microphone and an audience and I'M IN HEAVEN! ...AND THAT'S THE WAY I SEE IT... But Who knows - Maybe it's just me!
